Writing Names

Use toothpicks and lollies to create your name! This is a fabulous way for youngsters to learn alphabet recognition and formation of both upper and lower-case letters.

Numbers Colouring-In Poster

I purchased these black and white number templates on TpT to help create this worksheet for Kindergarten students. The coloured display letters and numbers can be used to make beautiful classroom displays as well.

Kris Kringle: Reindeer Noses

It's fourth term and nearly that time of the year again - Kris Kringle gift-giving time!

Mix some jaffas and maltesers in a clip-seal bag for a reindeer nose treat!

Welcome: People Portraits

Welcome to our class! At the beginning of the year, my students decorate a profile template to decorate a door or wall to introduce them to visitors.

Mixing Primary Colours

Here are a couple of ways I had my preschool and Kindergarteners experiment with mixing primary colours:

Force: Using Tomatoes

Check this out: the small cherry tomato sinks, and the large tomato floats!

Before undertaking the activity, we had a vote as to which would float, and which would sink.

After the experiment, most students were surprised!

I had my students brainstorm reasons why this might be the case - some responses were interesting, and others were spot on!
