To help develop the concept of procedure writing, Grade 1 made these delicious biscuits.
The activity also tied in nicely with our Minibeasts unit of work.
The students had to ice and decorate a biscuit, and then write a
procedure giving step-by-step instructions on how to make it. This
activity can be done in reverse; write the instructions first and then
make the biscuit.
The kids loved the activity and immersed themselves in this fun
and engaging lesson.
Most importantly, the biscuits looked and tasted
great!
