Forces: Floating and Sinking Fruit

My students enjoyed this floating and sinking experiment!



1. Place a mandarin in a bowl of water. Watch it float.
2. Peel the mandarin.
3. Place the peeled mandarin in the bowl of water.
4. Hypothesize why the peeled mandarin sank.
